Title:  "W2245 unable to enumerate Exchange storage groups" when expanding the Exchange 2003 Database Level Agent under the Windows Systems object.

Description:

When attempting to expand, or backup the Exchange 2003 Database level Agent under Windows Systems object, "W2245" is recorded in the Activity log.

In the Exchange .trc file you will see the following message reported: "there is no sg in the service".

Solution:

The above warning can occur, if the existing backup job is configured with Exchange 2003 selected under the Windows System object.

To resolved the problem, reconfigure the backup job:

  1. Under Windows Systems object:

    1. De-select the Exchange Database level Agent.
    2. De-select the Document Level Agent (if applicable).

  2. Under Exchange Organization object.

    1. Select the Exchange 2003 Database level Agent.
    2. Select the Document Level Agent (if required).

  3. Re-schedule the backup job.

    1. Verify the Security credentials for each Agent node.
